Around the World in 80 Days
Around the World in 80 Days is an mini adaptation of the classic adventure novel by the French author Jules Verne, published in 1873. Follow British gentleman Phileas Fogg and his French Valet Passepartout as they try to circumnavigate the world in 80 days to win the wager put up by Fogg's friends at the Reform Club. They leave from London by train at 8:45 P.M. on October 2; in order to win the wager, Fogg must return to the club by this hour on December 21, 80 days later. Each leg of the journey Fogg and Passepartout have frustrating, exciting and sometimes dangerous encounters that threaten to prevent them from completing the trip on time. The children's book adaption, originally done for a board book, has beautifully done illustrations from key points in the race around the world along with words done in English and French to challenge your young reader.
