Excellent glimpse into early 1900s living in Appalachia. Author Angie Wilson brings her mother's childhood stories to life in her 'Appalachian Series.' History of the times included on page 32. The illustrations of Dori, by Ashley Teets, are based on photographs of the author's mother as a child. Good early reader and will spark conversations between the generations.
