Pet Journey Press

Pet Journey Press was established in 2009 to bring stories about pets and their journeys to young readers. Although some pets may not start out so great in life, many find their way to a happy ending through the help of compassionate people and animal welfare organizations. Pet Journey Press picture books bring about awareness of the difficulties homeless animals face and educate younger generations so that they begin to develop kindness, compassion, empathy, and responsibility toward animals early on. In the Read! Write! Rescue! books, readers learn that animals have feelings, too. The stories gently teach about pet abandonment, dangers that stray animals face, pet rescue, pet adoption, kindness, love, responsibility, and safety. Children improve literacy skills, build character, develop social and emotional skills, and learn proper pet care. The rhyming and poetic verse in these stories attract children's attention and are fun to read over and over. Not only do children become lifelong readers, but they also learn valuable lessons!
