Pet Journey Press

Pet Journey Press was established in 2009 in order to bring stories to children about pets and the journeys they make. Although some pets may not start out so great in life, through the help of compassionate people and animal welfare organizations, many find their way to a happy ending. Stories published by Pet Journey Press bring about awareness of the difficulties homeless animals face and educate younger generations so that they may begin to develop kindness, compassion, empathy, and responsibility toward animals early on. In the Read! Write! Rescue! books, kids learn that animals have feelings too! The stories gently teach about homelessness, pet abandonment, dangers that pets face, pet rescue, pet adoption, kindness, love, responsibility, and safety. Through rhyming and poetic verse, these stories attract children's attention making them fun to read over and over. Children improve literacy skills, build character, develop social and emotional skills, and learn about proper pet care and responsibility. Pet Journey Press donates books to teachers and humane societies as a contribution to literacy and humane education.
