Hawbear Rides the Chi-Cheemaun

The first of the Hawbear Adventure Book series across Manitoulin Island. Hawbear meets a very special friend while the family take their first ferry ride. The Hawbear book series was inspired by the local surroundings of Manitoulin Island where both the author and illustrator were born and raised. Manitoulin Island has unique berries called Hawberries which make excellent jam's and jellies. If you are fortunate to be born on Manitoulin, you are forever a "Haweater" ----- Hence the name of our bear family.
