Take a few minutes to talk with your child about the picture and his or her experiences going to the dentist. What’s familiar? What’s not? What’s silly? When your child finds the hippo holding the stuffed animal, discuss what that hippo might be feeling. This might lead to a conversation about how your child feels visiting the dentist.
