KATI Books

KATI Books is an independent book publishing company created in June 2010 by Joella Williams. Ms. Williams has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations for the Performing Arts with a minor in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and completed graduate course work in the Music Therapy and Master's of Public Administration programs at California State University Northridge. Joella saw the need for both adults and children to learn how to read music in an enjoyable way. This need was the inspiration for the development of the Clef Notes: Discovering the World of Music Series.  Each story explains how to read the lines and spaces of the treble and bass clef music staff using rhyme and repetition to aid in memory retention.
