 Sam was just about as excited as any elf could possibly be Ever since he was a little elf he had wanted to work up at Santas workshop in the North Pole Of course all elves wished they could work for Santa and dreamed of it every day but very few of them actually got a call from Santa asking them to go and help out for next Christmas  Sam was sad to say goodbye to his family and friends but when Santas special sleigh came to pick him up it was so exciting Were so proud of you his family called to him as the sleigh looped around over his house and sped off with Rudolfs nose blinking as they left    When they arrived at the North Pole Sam couldnt believe how wonderful and magical the place was The ice houses twinkled with every ray of sunlight and at night time even the leaves on the trees were made of icicles flashing like a million diamonds in the darkness  Sam trembled with excitement as Santa walked down the line of elves giving everyone their special jobs And you my dear Sam I would like you to be in charge of looking after my reindeer You can be my chief pooper scooper A very important job indeed Ho Ho Ho Sam laughed really loudly but then he realized Santa wasnt joking Santa had carried on down the line handing out other more important jobs like chief toffee apple tester or chief blue paint mixer and he was cross that Chief pooper scooper What sort of a job is
